One of the most creative and striking performers currently working on the UK scene, Gwyn's soulful, seductive voice is something quite special, bringing sophistication to her singer/songwriter material, and a wonderful "edge" to the occasional cover. Her first CD "Bittersweet and Blue", released 10 years ago on Universal, established her as a force to be reckoned with, receiving enormous acclaim in the process. Since then she has gone on to produce an immensely impressive series of CDs, the latest of which, "The Sea Cabinet", yet again garnered universal praise and excitement, being described as "wildly inventive...entirely a law unto itself" (The Metro).

Not content with being one of the finest singer/songwriters in the country, she has also won two prestigious theatrical awards for her music, had them queuing around the block at the Rochester Jazz Festival in New York (where her show was in the top ten out of over two hundred), seen her cover of Neil Young's 'Only Love Can Break Your Heart' used in a Hollywood 'rom com', written a song-cycle about the sea which debuted at the Aldeburgh Festival, sung a series of 18th Century murder ballads on Radio 4 and composed and performed a specially commissioned soundtrack to the silent film "The Patsy" at the BFI.

In the past year Gwyneth has seen her musical open at the Southwark Playhouse, recorded a new run of Radio 4’s Playlist Series and spent a month in Kenya collecting lullabies, sharing songs in slum schools and staging multi-tribe storytelling happenings under the Mombasa stars.

 "One of the country's most exciting talents" Sunday Times;

"...remarkably gifted performer" Guardian;

"...majestic-voiced" Jazz UK;

"Her lyrics are consistently engaging... singing with a rare balance of passion and control...Herbert (is) poised as one of Britain's brightest talents." The Telegraph
